Considering that this is the last day of Winter for this year, I thought I better make something for this occassion. Hence this is the result!
As the title says, I thought I better take a snapshot in the morning, even though I didn't exactly wake up early in the morning for that. And what better creature well suited for the 'ancient' winter scene none other than a woolly mammoth! Actually, make that two, considering I decided to add a baby to the shot!
Created by one Fernando Gilgado Gomez, the woolly mammoth is folded out of one piece of paper, and according to Mr. Gomez, one of the advanced stage. Think of it like an advanced version of the elephant, though technically, the mammoth was before the elephant! It wasn't easy to make the calf with a smaller piece of paper, and for the prototype baby, cutting off the tusks didn't turn out too well hence I had to resort to shortening the tusks of the second by folding. But it was worth it, and don't the mother and the baby look adorable? To make the scene slightly realistic, I sifted some flour to simulate snow, hence my title.
Overall, if you like ancient creatures like the woolly mammoth, I believe you'll love this! Depending on what you think the difficulty is, I think it'll be of an intermediate-advanced level. I hope you'll enjoy this for the last day of winter!

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
